The Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care received recognition from the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) for successfully establishing a Quality Management System Certified to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015.

PITAHC Director General Dr. Annabelle Pabiona De Guzman received the award in behalf of the Institute during the 7th GQMC Recognition Ceremony and Public Sector Quality and Productivity Improvement Forum, held at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on October 24, 2019.

The event aimed to recognize ISO 9001:2015 certified government organizations that have demonstrated consistent and notable improvements in service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The GQMC is chaired by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and co-chaired by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) with members Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Office of the President-Internal Audit Service (OP-IAS), and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).
